A century after the end of the Great War, Val di Fassa still bears evident traces of the historic conflict. Some sites, such as the circular walk of the Creste di Costabella in the San Pellegrino area, can still be visited. The via ferrata “Bepi Zac” will take you back to 1915. You will safely pass caves, trenches, stairs, and posts along the Italian-Austrian front, from Passo Le Selle to the Forcella Ciadin. Of particular interest are the Austrian Kaiserschützen dormitory and the Osservatorio Italiano with its photographic exhibition “War on War”.

Notes and conditions:

• Trekking - Via ferrata. Guided day hike of medium difficulty, limited number of participants (max. 5 participants). Positive altitude difference of ca. 700 m; negative altitude difference of ca. 700 m. Route: Passo San Pellegrino (Costabella chairlift) – Passo Le Selle – Cima Campagnaccia – Cima Costabella – Forcella Ciadin – Passo San Pellegrino. The tour takes place weekly, on Mondays. The excursion is offered in collaboration with Sport Check Point. Upon your arrival at the hotel you will receive a voucher for participating at the excursion at a reduced price (81 euro per person instead of 90 euro), which must be presented at the Sport Check Point office in Moena before 12.00 a.m. the day before the activity. The offer does not include the tickets for the lifts, the packed lunch, and any extra, which must be purchased on site. In case of bad weather or failure to reach the minimum number of participants the excursion will be replaced with another activity offered by Sport Check Point (subject to availability).
