The 'Fairy of the Dolomites' wears her best white coat in winter and casts a spell that freezes time.
A fairytale atmosphere will envelop you in the embrace of ancient traditions and nature. Discover a place where your heart feels protected by an immaculate silence, snow covers the unspoiled landscape, mountains are painted white and the crisp air invites you to explore.
Val di Fassa, part of the Dolomiti Superski, is a true paradise for winter sports lovers. If you are a cross-country skiing enthusiast, don't miss the 'Marcialonga', a race along a 70 km route that crosses the Fassa and Fiemme valleys, starting from Moena and arriving in Canazei.
Fans of Nordic skiing can enjoy the “Ciancoal Ring” at the bottom of Pozza di Fassa valley or the high altitude slopes of the “Alochet Cross-country Ski Centre” and the San Pellegrino Pass, in an extraordinary natural setting.
The ski and snowboard slopes are open from December to Easter and can be easily reached thanks to the shuttle service offered by Hotel Maria, which can be booked the day before at the Hotel Reception Desk. In just 10 minutes you will reach the “Catinaccio”, “Alpe Lusia” or the “Ski Center Latemar”, and it will only takes 20 minutes to reach the “San Pellegrino Pass” and the “Belvedere Ski Area”, from where the now iconic “Sella Ronda route” starts, a ring that crosses 4 Ladin valleys: Val Gardena, Alta Badia, Fodom and Val di Fassa.
After a day spent on the snow, drop your equipment in our Ski Room, join us at the Aquarena Wellness Centre to restore body and soul, and recharge with our afternoon snack.
To guarantee our guests direct access to the best local experiences, Hotel Maria is affiliated with the Moena Outdoor, a weekly programme of guided open-air activities in contact with nature. Visit the official website to discover many ideas and weekly activities!
