Leisure opportunities

Enjoy your free time with rewarding days in Moena

You won’t be deluded with an active holiday at Leading Relax Hotel Maria in Moena in Val di Fassa, because there are an infinite number of leisure opportunities.

In winter amateur or experienced skiers and snowboard lovers return home happy and rewarded because they have such a great choice: Dolomiti Superski, a circuit of more than 1180 km of ski tracks with perfect snow due to the use of artificial snow which guarantees perfect slopes throughout the season.  The Hotel is just a short distance away from the Ski Area of the Lusia Alps (10 minutes), the Passo San Pellegrino Falcade (20 minutes), the Latemar Ski Centre (10 minutes), the Catinaccio Ski Area (10 minutes) and finally the Belvedere Ski Area (20 minutes), from where the mythical Sella Ronda, the circuit of the imposing massif of Sella, begins.

Val di Fassa is also well-equipped for families with children with playgrounds, mini-clubs and indoor kinderland at the bottom of the valley.

Anyone who practices Alpine skiing knows about the very popular Marcialonga track extending from Cavalese to Canazei passing through Moena, right in front of Leading Relax Hotel Maria, for over 70 km of varied exciting track.  Many other tracks await Nordic ski lovers, even with illuminated tracks; from the Ciancoal ring at Pozza di Fassa in the bottom of the valley to the altitude ski runs of Centro Fondo Alochet at Passo San Pellegrino, in an extraordinary and unique setting.

In summer Val di Fassa is the reign of Trekking and excursions in the Dolomites, easy walks in the bottom of the valley, Nordic walking, walks at higher altitudes and altitude crossings, with the possibility of assistance from the Alpine Guide.  The shuttle bus service brings tourists to the mouth of the most beautiful walking paths and near the most famous Dolomite peaks.

The shelters are true refreshment oases, some being very characteristic and well-equipped, many of them offer the possibility of staying overnight, and are also educational centres of Alpine life for adults and children.

Pedalling across the Val di Fassa is perhaps the best way to explore and enjoy these spectacular panoramas.  On a mountain bike you can cycle through countless paths and well-marked tracks with various levels of difficulty. You can also participate on guided excursions such as the Sellaronda Mountain Bike Tour or try the Dolomiti Lagorai Gran Bike Tour, a 6-day itinerary that extends across 2 National Parks and includes the following valleys: Fassa, Fiemme, Valsugana and the Plateau of Pinè Cembra.

Gravity Downhill Tracks and Gravity Scooter await more adventurous tourists who are looking for pure adrenalin at Canzazei and on Alpe Lusia.

The cycle path from Dolomiti Fiemme to Fassa that covers 48 km with an average of a 5% slope is one of the most beautiful and enchanting cycle paths in Italy, easily cycled with a tourist bike and also suitable for families.  The return is assured with the Shuttle Bus service that brings tourists back to their starting points.
